We left Buenos Aires this morning and flew to Bariloche, located in the heart of the Lake District. Our hotel (for two nights) is situated on the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapei, which is glacier fed. Our rooms all have lake views. The Andes separate us from Chile. This afternoon we meandered around town, we found a restaurant with a sunny seating area for a beer and then went to the Patagonia museum. It is cooler here, we’ve dropped down to about 24C. The settlers in this area came from Switzerland, Austria, Italy, so we went to an Italian restaurant - I declined dessert - I need a rest from all the food!
